Surely out of the Topic, but which hours are in a real darkness (sunrise & sunset)?

It depends on the time of year, but basically 5AM to 7PM in December, 7AM to 5PM in June.

@kliktrak: enjoy! Was in Oman briefly once and was quite impressed with what I saw of their mountains. Please do post pics!

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

A friend of mine that lives in Oman recently mentioned that after having explored all the high peaks there he was impressed. And this is from a guy that's been around.

So we are almost 25% of the way through the year, how is everyone going with their stated goals?

Kind of feels like I have barely been to the Berg this year, but the 132km and 11 khulus bagged so far this year (mostly repeats) - I guess that isn't a terrible start

I should knock goal #1 off the list this weekend - hitting Lotheni with Biomech and Hobbit this weekend, and I hit 2 Vergelegen passes with AndrewR a few weeks back. I am upping one of my goals - the "all the KZN and Free State non-technical khulus" goal has been changed to "all the non-technical khulus".

I have knocked off 25% of the outstanding kgolos, so doing well there. Have plans in place to quietly knock off a few more passes, khulus and kgolos soon.

I have a map on order. When that arrives, the October mission moves into "official" status.

Now that I am getting in some quality time at City Rock Jhb, I have added a new climbing goal. Location is a secret, but it will be very hard and on tiny gear - eish!
