HI guys
We're planning a hike in the Mnweni area (Northern Drakensberg) in April, and have been trying to get hold of the guys at the Mnweni Cultural Center to book rondavels - but to no avail. There's a cell nr listed but I have not been able to get hold of anyone and is not getting any answers on text messages.
Have anybody been there in recent months that can give me an update on what's happening there?

The number that seems to be listed online is correct - 072 712 2401.
Leonard is in charge there now.
This number was working 2 weeks ago, perhaps they have an issue with the phone. Keep trying

You can also try 079 615 5941, this was/is Leonard's number.
You can also try contacting some of the Mnweni guides, they will be able to pass messages on, or at least tell you what the issue is with the main contact number. Bear in mind they are often out of signal too.

Was there for the Mnweni marathon in May, and it was still open and functional. The dirt road to MCC is also decent for a small car.

Operating as normal, was there recently. Just keep in mind that their internet and mobile access is patchy. If you are trying to communicate use SMS, they will generally respond within a day.

I can't seem to get in contact with anyone on that side (I've tried to different numbers and have waited a week both times)
Does someone have an updated/working number for me ?
I just want to confirm the costs for staying in the accommodation for one night, parking costs if any and for an overnight hiking permit.
