Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

If you still land up going via Xeni Cave, then consider looking for a flat, grassy spur to camp on along the way. The Tseke area is rather bushy and the main Tseke campsite is gonna be tight. It might take 3 tents depending on how narrow they are, but I'm not sure. Going directly up the Camel and first camping at its base certainly is more warm-up friendly. If you get to the base and find that you have enough time and your group is not tired, you could carry on all the way to the top. This will give more time on the Bell Traverse which you might need.

Hi, IMO the site AUX recomends is a good bet (near junction C8 if I recall correctly). The area around the hut didnt look great for tents, especially if there are other options. You could still go via Xeni Cave and the hut, its not far from the hut to the camp site at the C8 junction (2km).

What are people's favorite day hikes in this section? Could also choose one in Monks Cowl if have one preferred in that area. Tough is okay but maybe not super strenuous and long bc were doing three day mNweni the next weekend.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Have your rubbish bags at ready if hiking Camel, lots of litter on the path currently - collected as much as we could (in deteriorating conditions), were at something of a loss of what to do with large maas milk containers tho.
On the upside, saw ~80 Eland around the intersection for Camel/Tseketseke/Mushroom Rock/Ribbon Falls.

Hey Graeme,
Thanks for picking up that rubbish, its not pleasant to see. Luckily we never saw any on the Mlambonja path.
Was great meeting you and your friend (was it Colin?) at Cathedral yesterday
