Hi,
I’m planning a hike to Wonder Valley Cave and am keen to tent it rather than cave it (more my son to experience the adventure of sleeping in a tent in the Berg).
Does anyone one know of any cool camping spots with a view to pitch a tent en-route to the cave?

Hi Noel123,
Availability of water will be your main concern. Once up on the ridge via Van Heyenings Pass, there is basically no reliable water source till you get to the stream below Wonder Valley cave. Plenty of flat spots en route so you can really be choosy
My suggestion would be to either face the valleys below Wonder Valley cave, or continue on Shada Ridge till you have a nice view on Moncs Cowl, Ships Prow pass etc. Just top up with enough water for the last option, which is fortunately not too far from the cave itself.
Enjoy!!!
