Hi all
We where planning a trip to the Injisuthi area and base out of the chalets and campsite at Injisuthi. I am unable to make any bookings or get much info except a very vague campsite closed. Can anybody confirm.

Hi Pyro, who are you dealing with? Injisuthi bookings are done through this website (bookings.kznwildlife.com/) and not with the office on site.

@Pyro. Phone the camp direct and find out if they are closed or not at 036 431 9000. I was there this last weekend for a hike and someone was camping at the camp site. Out of season, I would just rock up and camp

Hi ... we were there this past weekend (30 Oct to 1 Nov) Overnight / Day hikes as well as the campsites all open. Although it was unusually quiet. The road once you enter the park gates is unfortunately getting worse!

Can a sedan still make the road or is it now too gone? We were thinking about a day hike up Cataract to the contour and return this Friday.

@stalks372 Fortunately it hasn't reached that stage yet. So yes, a sedan can make it...slowly and carefully. We went with some family in their BMW and it was painstakingly slow.
Enjoy your hike...its beautiful with the new green and flowers blooming.

I’m heading this way end of the month can anyone confirm current state of the road ? I have to decide between 2 x 4wd OR 1 x Toyota quantum.
Last I traveled this road after days of rain it was pretty hectic ! But that was 20 years ago

I was there in May, road was as bad as always, with added complication that some sections of road in the reserve "subsided" in the heavy rain in Jan/Feb/March.
There were some guys staying in the chalets with bulldoxer / LTB trying to stabilize it, but looked a bit dicey.
So, same as always basically ... doable in any car if you take it slowly.
