Bannerman Hut

Hello,
Planning on taking a small party up to the hut in Feb.
Any one been there recently and if so, what's the latest condition?

We stayed over on Friday night, here are some up to date pictures, although the original ones are still pretty accurate. It's in good condition.

Somebody has definitely cleaned the hut up since we've last been there. There used to be a bit of rubbish in the toilet area, it now looks great

I agree with Riaan, I was there about 4 months ago and someone definitely cleaned up quite a bit! Thank you whoever it was!

Hi all

As mentioned we were at Bannerman Hut earlier in December, in the section of the hut that was for the toilet there was a huge amount of rubbish that when the wind blew made siting in the hut close to being unbearable.

I have contacted the OIC at Giants Castle and she has advised that they will send staff up to clean the hut, could I ask that whomever passes by the Hut next or stays in it, if you could please let me know if it has been cleaned up or not, so that I can follow up if necessary.

So I'm back on the beat with regards to cleaning up Bannerman hut, when we went past it three weeks ago it was a mess inside again. one side of the roof was also not attached property and moving around in the wind.

I have been in contact with a number of people at Giants to try sort it out since, and they let me know last week that it had been cleaned up, so timing was just right as we were going past it again this last weekend, and I can advise that the hut is clean again, the roof part that was loose is now secure, however the rubbish that was all over the placed which had been cleaned up is pilled in a cnr.

I have contacted the people at Giants again and they have said that the rubbish will be collected and disposed of appropriately.

Can I ask that whomever goes past there next can you please check and revert back as to whether all the rubbish has been removed, thanks

Your effort is much appreciated. I've also send video and photos of the mess to the people in charge for the last three months and nothing was done.
