Done, 890g. I'm happy with that.
I'll put on removable hipbelt pockets once I've tested it.

Awesome Papa Dragon! Looks great! What are you doing about rain? Just taking a bag liner/plastic bag on the inside?

Thanks Ruth
The navy lid is waterproof, the grey on the sides water resistant. I haven't sealed any seams yet though.
Clothes and sleeping gear in black bags, and a poncho over the top.

Didn't keep a record, but if I ever made another it would definitely go quicker.

Tested with 10kg load this weekend, just a couple minor mods needed, and some final stitching, nice light pack

This may be the only thread on VE that I don't really follow
Anyway - throwing in my 2c worth on grass stakes.
I had some grass stakes made up by our local laser cutting company, Clifford Engineering (you can google them if you are looking for contact details). The design I sent them was as follows - with the added requirement of a 90 degree bend down the vertical axis:
The result was this:
Disclaimer: this design has not been tested as would be required for climbing gear (or actually at all), the design is intended for 2 stakes to be used in combination for abseiling only, and only on very solid ground where the stakes are not moving. I take no responsibility for anything that goes wrong if you should use my design.
