I was just telling saros that it's bee tested in rain, but not in wind. Apparently extensively used in US, and they rate them well in wind. I have my doubts though, but it is surprisingly sturdy once it is guyed out. Think I'll test on our top hike in April/May, but I'm not brave/stupid enough to test without a backup

Wow! Did you already make a post about making this tent Papa Dragon? I might have missed it...
Looks so awesome! Just one central pole/hiking pole?

Hi Ruth,
No I don't think I've posted about it....
Yep, uses 2 hiking poles tied together with shock cord, surprisingly sturdy.

Mark 11 quilt/bag hybrid, an unashamed copy of the bag that elinda posted, with a few mods. www.zpacks.com/quilts/sleepingbag.shtml
Ripstop nylon shell, 750 fill power goose down filling.
Shell weight 304g
Fill weight 550g
Zipper, drawcords 56g
for a total weight of 910 g, excluding a bag.
The quilt opened out:
It has a full zipper, but like elinda's bag the zipper is designed to go underneath. It has no draft tube, but the inner shell is cut and stitched larger than the outer shell, so it closes up when the zipper is closed.
It has a footbox which can be opened, or closed with a drawstring if preferred.

With the footbox closed.
The footbox inner is also cut and stitched larger than the outer, but it's simple to tie the footbox closed with the drawcord if it's really cold.
The bag doesn't have a cowl, but is long enough that one can pull it around one's head if need be.
Designed to be used with this quilt for cold conditions, total weight 1530g, total fill weight 900g.

So this is probably going to look extremely amateur-ish next to all the amazing stuff other people have posted, but here is a video of me making a backpack out of duct tape
It was quite fun!
