True - my MHW Hyperlamina Torch that a friend brought back from the States cost a similar price to the Lamina 20 from MHW - and it included express postage in the States (I found he was coming here 2 days before he left).

It may be part of the Due South promotion that Ruth posted above but I couldn't see it, anyway the fast 'n light guys (&girls) may be interested to know that DS have the Osprey Talon 33 marked down to R999 (usually R1400). You may find a cheaper and/or lighter option but you will never beat the Osprey Almighty Guarantee .

I just bought that pack from MMO a week ago - haven't hiked with it yet, but it is a really nice pack in terms of weight and features. Will probably give it a go this weekend at Didima (although its hard to put down my 400g bright green pack that looks like it was stolen from a 5 year old).

It will be my new overnight pack on trips where I don't take a tent.
