Intrepid, I think you forgot to edit the winter (snow, ice....) line
I assume pics don't actually have to have been taken in 2011?

Too true, thanks Smurfatefrog. Too many marbles rolling around in my head.
Theoretically the pics should be "real time", in that they are really taken between now and the end of the year. It ads a really fun dimension. However, not everybody can get out there all the time, and members like mnt_tiska and ST live out of the country, and so I'd like to be inclusive rather than exclusive in this regard. If you have an old pic you really want to use, go for it, else, hold on a bit till closer to year end and see if you can get out to the Berg by then.

As it always goes, I recommended the fauna part of this, and then my 2 year unbroken run of always seeing Eland on Central/Southern Berg hikes gets broken... If I don't see anything on any remaining trips to the Berg I still have some good shots of some random Berg flowers or a very friendly Pied Starlin...

I have not managed to get out to the Berg since the winter due to the annoying auto-populate feature on my Google calender.
Anyone else been out there this spring? Remember to enter your pics.

I have no hopes of winning with a Blackberry picture but might have had a better change if my camera was closer. It is a awesome setup and great experience being so close to 3 Klipspringers. I have never seen more than two together.

Nice Boerkie! I have only seen 2 or 3 klipspringers total in the berg. Although I have had 4 eland running a few metres away from me, my camera wasn't close enough to get the pic as they ran past (although when you have a few tons of venison running 2 metres from you your first though is not your camera, especially with those massive horns), but I did get a photo about half a minute later, unfortunately the 4th one went ahead of the group and is out of the frame:
[that pic might work well for the Berg photo quiz, since I'm up next I'll go and post it...]

Mine is called Mnweni Impressions:
{joomplu:629}
Detailed view here .
The shot, taken near Waterfall Cave, captures several aspects of the Mnweni: eroded trails highlighted by the green colours of spring, stone walled kraals, landmark peaks (in this case the South Peak of The Saddle), and of course, at this time of year, the Cannabis plants in full growth!
Submissions will close early in January, so get your entries in and don't forget to rate each image already submitted!

Dont think this is a good enough photo to submit, but here is a shot of 2 Klipspringer Grey Rhebuck [EDIT] at RNNP, soon after taking the pic when i rounded the ridge it turned out to be 3 of them, but my 4MP digi-cam doesnt have decent zoom to take good pics at distance.
