I've camped in the snow plenty and it's more about your gear than the cold.
In a tent or cave it seldom gets much below zero so make sure your bag -5 or better and take a puffy jacket...

I really want to do a 'berg snow trip. Don't think it'll happen this season though, I'm very unfit :/

Here is the forecast snow fall for the next few days, with the majority due to fall today:
There is currently snow falling at Afriski, as well reports of light snow in the Sani Pass area.
