Thanks will do. Pitched it the other day to make sure all is well out of the box, seems more spacious and slightly higher than the old isodome tents i used to own.

I used the FA Eclipse on a recent hike in the southern berg and got pelted with heavy rain, hail and some wind. It did very well through it all, however, i think that some extra guylines from the front and rear of the tent would help to better secure it against the wind.

Speaking of tents, has anyone used the oztrail starlight tent? It is a 1/2 man tent weighing in at 1.6kg.

Also I am selling my Exped Sirrius Extreme 11 tent only been used twice. It is a tunnel tent and the outer is freestanding, so it can be put up first, followed by the inner, this helps during rainy weather. I have weighed it accurately and all in, it comes to 3086g. It is a good tent, but i am not a fan of tunnel tents. It is quite similar to hilleberg tents.

New prices vary from about R4450 to R5263 excluding postage and duties as they have to be imported. I am looking for R4000 for it. Not sure if this is the right place for this post.

The image is the colour of the tent.

This is in German, but it shows the tent being pitched.

Hi All

Hoping that someone can point me in the right direction. I set up my 360 degree lightweight 2 tent in the garden for the kids to have some fun in... and no I’m regretting it.

The shorter pole at the foot end of the tent has been broken and I’m wondering if I can buy a spare / replacement as I haven’t ever seen them for sale in the shops. Does anyone have any suggestions on who to contact?

Does anyone can provide feedback on the 360 degree Moonlight 2 tent? I see some good feedback on an older model - Cool Mountain II, however that one is not available anymore.

Also, someone asked previously but I see no reply. Any experience with the Naturehike Cloud Up 2 or Cirrus Ultralight 2 tents?

I noticed on Mountainmailorder that they have a TNF Stormbreak that look really good value at R 3450, otherwise the MSR Elixer 2 man also looks good but cost more and on spec doesn't look any better

Where are you based?
I bought a spare set from Outdoor warehouse for my tent so they should be able to help, alternatively if you don't come right there we can look at stealing a section from mine that broke...

Thanks so much for the offer.
Long story short - after many many phone calls to Outdoor Warehouse and 3 lost deliveries and 1 incorrect delivery, I was eventually given an old set of poles they had lying their storeroom so now I am sorted.

And not a bad price either.

Would be interesting to hear from someone who has one.

This might trigger some fond memories for the older members. I was going through some boxes from varsity that i put in storage when i went overseas and found this old Cadac Sunseeker tent. Put it up for old times sake, still in pretty good nic, but heavy by today's standards.

Just received mine yesterday, very impressed with the quality so far. I am going to the Berg end of March and can't wait to use it.
