Hi All, Due South is having a sale - I picked up a The North Face Meso 2 tent (enough space for 2 rather slim, short people or a light weight solo tent ). Was R1,599.00 for R799.00. Weighs 1.8kg. They do have other equipment and clothing on sale as well.

feck! That's a good deal... This tent was originally priced at R3000 and seems pretty well put together for that weight. Well done on getting it at the price!

Guys I know its not really a sale, but a small heads up, the Cape Union Mart in Sandton have a few shop-soiled filters at good prices (you have to look to find them), including an MSR FilterWorx, and a Platypus gravity system, both for R1k each.

Also, the CUM outlet in Woodmead have some shop soiled/demo electronics for good prices. I picked up a LED Lenser L5 for R150. They had some headlamps too.

I have just discovered that Mountain Mail Order offers a 10% discount to all MCSA members - irrespective of which division you fall under. They have confirmed that this includes orders that are shipped.
