Not great... I think its the worst I remember it and I wasn't even driving this time.firephish wrote: looks awesome! How was the road? OIC indicated they where hopefully going to try repair it this winter when i asked in May?
Plenty potholes, and a couple sections where high clearance is handy, but with care you'll get there fine with any car

Wondering if anybody can assist. Does anybody know anything about Fergy's Cave? I spoke to the park official today asking her if Fergy's Cave was open to overnight in, she advised me that it has been closed but didn't elaborate any further on why and if it is totally impossible to overnight there. Did anybody recently overnight there? Does anybody know of any alternative spots around Fergy's Cave which can serve as a camping spot?
Thanx
Henk

The actual aim of the trip in to do Corners Pass, haven't been up there before and also to overnight in UIC which I also havent done before. The sideline trip would be to take some friend to Mafadi as a blacklist item for them.

Is that from/to Injasuthi?
Pass, is that Corner Pass where they are using the rope to help each other up?
Cave shot, which cave?
Cheers

Yes, their approach is from Injasuthi via Centenary Hut. And yes, it's Corner Pass, which you can do without a rope, though a rope will help for the final scramble. A rope will also help, and is probably advisable, if you take the Northern High Approach, which has some scrambles that could be a little risky with packs on. The cave is Upper Injasuthi / Injasuthi Summit Cave.
