Rob

Hi Rob, you guys should go stay in the mountains next time rather than choosing warm comfy accommodation in Impendle ;)

We would love to! Not quite sure that we could carry all our equipment up there to the top though, and the internet connection speeds might not be quite adequate for our reporting needs! Would absolutely love to do it some day though.

That's pretty much the whole of Mzimkhulu river valley. Big and little bamboo mountains on the far right and extreme left is the Mzimkhulu pipeline. Verkyker and funcave also up the left of the valley. This was taken just under cobra cave using my S5's panoramic shot.

Silverthorne; I am not familiar with any the names you mentioned above. Where is this picture taken more or less? I am familiar with the Northern parts of the berg, so I assume this is more South.
Maybe a rough coordinate?

@GerritHuman: Mzimkhulu Pass is about halfway between Sani Pass and Rhino Peak/Mashai Pass. The area around the Mzimkhulu Pipeline/Fun Cave is one of the most amazing stretches of Small Berg I have ever come across.

Great, Thanks. I will go and dig up my old maps tonight and look it up.

I've never been near there, it might be time to explore those parts...

Snow Report SA is currently receiving reports of snow falling in the Clarens/Golden Gate region. There also seems to be some very light new snow at Afriski.
