Snow Watch 2025

Looks like some more is on the way.  See how it pans out.  Ventusky is showing the fronts stacking up for the next 10 days, making landfall at the Cape today and on Saturday.  Mmmm....

Frustrated   This sort of caught me out.  It looked good, and then seemed to back off again and had a look at the corpernicus view for the 4 June and seemed like it wasnt to bad.  Ok, not as good as the 8 June, but not to bad.  Is hard to decide on go no go decision to head off for a 5 or 6 day trip including two days to get into position not knowing how good the dump is going to be.  Because then two weeks later it really does dump!

Anyhow these two imahes were from the 8 June dump.  Because I had just got off flu, I wasnt up to a 6 day in the snow and had made plans for a few days with a friend to mtb in Underberg.  The day I drove up was into the teeth of the front.  Through Bulwer the wind was about 80-100km gusting, throwing all mannor of debre at the car, felt like i was driving through an asteroid belt.  A few trees down on the road as well.  When I got UB, had to wait a while until the sun appeared and was bale to shoot some nice images from Hippo Pools.

 
 

 

The second Image in this with Clouds and FG is a stunner and stands out as one that really shows this area in a different light from most images taken in this area. Special Mood and light with clouds and mountains blending
