I think you are right Stijn, I'll second that. I've compared it to my own pics of the pass. Again the topography of the valleys below would seem to agree with this. The buttress to the left being at Amakehla, the shadowy bit in the valley being where Lakes Cave is. Beyond that Titty and the Whale Back are not clear, but the dome at the end, Siphongweni, is. And the valleys have a very strong Southern Berg character...Stijn wrote: Never done it but a little Google Earth sleuthing makes my answer Minaret Pass.
Key clues were the steep little berg bowl-shaped ridge parallel to the escarpment in the centre-right of the photo and the long broad ridge on the left of the photo.

My guess would have been Xeni Cave too. When you say 100m below Xeni, do you mean at roughly the same altitude along the sandstone cliffs, but 100m downstream?Aux wrote: Jip it is a few 100m just below Xeni cave.
