This picture was taken in the beginning of April, so I just missed the March deadline. Would have been a good candidate.

OK, so submissions are closed - please browse to the gallery and give your rating on each image.

Intrepid - I got caught at Heathrow a couple of years ago after a major snow storm. We waited on the plane for 6 hours without the thing moving. It was 1 April and the de-icing contract closes on 31 March so Heathrow had just one de-icer truck for n-hundred planes. Weather & seasons can't easily be defined by calendar months. With this in mind I would (as self appointed weather guru) ask for your Mnweni pic to be included in the summer round (unless the next theme is Autumn rainbows.....)

Well thanks to Heathrow airport, I've submitted my image called "Rainbow Traverse" to the gallery.

@diverian: just upload your pic to the right gallery.

Any other submissions, lets have it today and then we will give it a week for the ratings to be done.

@Mnt_Tiska: Nice pic! Are you sure the guys at Heathrow weren't pulling an April Fools Day joke on you with the contract ending thing :P

I was incredulous enough to check it out once I got back (having been stuck at LAX for 3 days as a result of leaving Heathrow late) and yes, that contract does end 31 march REGARDLESS of the forecast. And the snow was forecast 7 days ahead. We chalked it up as a victory of the accountants over the weather scientists - don't make the same mistakes Ghaz!

I don't want to nit pick, but Karl's photo entry was taken back in 2008. Granted, he's all the way in Australia, but should we not open up the competition to all photos that fit the theme, regardless of when they were taken? This way we would have more than 4 valid entries and Ghaz wouldn't have to trawl through the 3000 photos he took on his recent Tlanyaku hike to find one with a cloud in it!
