In December (around 16 December), I will be leading a 5 day Giants Cup Trail hike for the MCSA KZN Section. It is open to non-MCSA members, but spaces are limited and will be allocated to the people who booked first.
We are doing the trail in its intended configuration - N-S, 5 days and using the designated hut for each night and stopping for lunch at each day's rock pool (aside from days 4 and 5 that do not include a decent rock pool). The hike is aimed at beginners, although anyone with adequate fitness is welcome to join, and parents are welcome to bring their kids (10 and older), provided they look after them.
Anyone that would like to join can PM me their email address and I will add them to the mailing list.
Costs aren't final yet as the cost of the huts for December hasn't been announced by Ezemvelo yet, but neither myself nor the club are making any profit off this trip.
It should be a rather fun trip - the days are quite manageable, and the huts mean you don't need to carry a tent. The days average 12km with 500m of vertical, so very manageable.

I'm planning a three-day hike up Tseketseke and down The Camel from the 1st to the 3rd of September: Day 1 to Tseketseke Hut; Day 2 up Tseke to Ndumeni Dome Caves (or Rolands Cave, if someone joins who knows it); Day 3 down The Camel and out.
PM me if you're interested.

The Exploration Society of Southern Africa, Essa , is organising a hike along this rarely walked ridge of mountain peaks from Moteng Pass to the beautiful Tsenhlanye bowl.
A long ridge of 3000m peaks wends its way west from Mont aux Sources in the Drakensberg through Lesotho, the spiky tail of the Drakensberg mountains. Walking atop the ridge one has 360 degree views over both Lesotho and the Free State. Its pretty remote and, bar the odd shepherd, we are unlikely to encounter anyone else.
The distance is a very moderate 35km, but its all mountain walking, off track at high altitude with a final descent down the Holomo pass, one of the Drakensberg’s more spectacular passes, into the National Park. The walk has one great virtue over a berg hike in that because we start at the Moteng Pass we don't have a first day of a 1000m climb!
A moderate level of fitness and a familiarity with Berg hiking, carrying a backpack and all the associated gear (tents etc) that goes with a multi day mountain walk is required. We expect to spend three nights camping out in the mountains. Snow at this altitude is always a possibility although unlikely so late into Spring.
If you have a partner or friend who is not up to the hike, but would love to spend a few days in the mountains in luxury waiting for us, then they can be pampered at Maliba Lodge in the Park and enjoy the beautiful day walks. We will depart Friday morning and be back the Monday evening (which is a public holiday), so it means taking one day’s leave.
If you would like to know more it, please pm me and I can send you a kmz file of the route and other details.

Changed this slightly:
I will be camping at Silver Streams on the Friday evening, and start hiking on Saturday 30th September from Bushman's Nek. Hike to overnight at Whyte's Cave. Return Sunday. Or meet at Bushman's Nek EKZNW offices early Saturday morning. Suitable for beginners with moderate fitness.
