About Afriski- apparently they have an open day on saturday. Anyone going?
I'll be in the berg as from next week thursday through sunday. Doing a bit of the Mweni area. Looking forward!!!

Now that the cloud has cleared on Cathedral Peak weather cam you can see snow on the peaks and escarpment.

It seems one needs a snowmobile to reach Afriski now. Their official opening day for the Winter season is tomorrow, I guess its going to be a quiet one!

I played around with a similar concept last year using a free program called Web Cam Time Lapse. You just need to enter the url for the webcam, and the capture interval, and it will capture images every x seconds/minutes.

Pics taken from a Winterton resident. Freezing levels were relatively high in KZN for this weather system, explaining why only the peaks are covered.
