Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

I'll let you take the credit for it jonwells

On Friday the Garden Castle area was completely covered in snow, about 300m from Swiman Hut on the Sleeping Beauty Cave path was the first batches of snow. The area about 200m before the cave is heavily snowed up, the banks above the cave are also snowed up. Both Bollard and Wilson passes are also heavily snowed up.

Nice.
Is there any snow left on the escarpment at Cathedral Peak?

@brio: Judging by today's latest sat image, I would advise that there is very little visible from the bottom of the range. There is a little remaining on the south facing slopes, but not a lot around Cathedral.
@Intrepid: This just in; the NASA satellites which currently orbit and take 2 images per day, are about to be demolished/discontinued. They are going to be replaced with 7 new high quality satellites, which should improve picture quality substantially....

Snow-forecast.com seems to be indicating a chance of heavy snowfalls tomorrow (Monday 25th) for the entire Drakensberg area. I'm heading to Injasuthi next weekend so I hope they got this one right!

@ Jonwells: There is currently (Mon 13:30) heavy mist and temperatures are plummeting in Pietermaritzburg. Good chance of some fairly decent snow today and tomorrow according to WeatherSA. Sat images below from this morning seem to suggest lots of very cold clouds over the entire region. Injasuthi also tends to protrude out from the range, so fronts coming from the south tend to dump more on the Giant and Injasuthi... Good choice
