Yup, as Ghaz says we got a nice dump up there, about 20cm at the top of Thamathu Pass. Was still snowing lightly at 2100m around noon today

This gives a good idea of the top of the pass

Here is today's satellite image overlay showing the remaining snow in red. The entire escarpment appears to have gotten some snowfall, with the current snowline sitting at 2400m in the south, and 2800m in the north.

It is also interesting to see snow remaining in a small patch on the hills outside Harrismith, as well as the high ground surrounding Newcastle.

View from Tarn Cave on Monday morning - we walked up on Sunday morning in drizzle which turned to heavy snow - at least 40cm deep. It had melted in Sehlabathebe National Park by lunch time on Monday although there was still snow on the Devils Knuckles and escarpment

Can confirm that the Cathedral Peak area also got a nice dumping of snow over the weekend. Unfortunately can't upload any images 'cause my laptop got reconfigured by our IT department and my resizing program will have to be reinstalled from home. On average the snow was probably around 20cm's thick at the top of Organs. Supertramp, think you should try and upload an image of my tent here ;-) Below 2500m was just a bit of sleet but it was nice to be in the snowfall during the night and at the top of Organ Pipes pass.

Hi guys,

Herewith the photo of Riaang's tent on Sunday morning...
Such an awesome view and experience to wake up to. We only had one goal in mind and that was to find snow, and snow is what we found... :)
