The images are updated usually twice a day.
You can also access them by scrolling to the very bottom of this page, look under the "Resources" menu, then "Maloti-Drakensberg Satellite Images"

Here is the forecast snow for this weekend. The forecast freezing levels at the moment appear to be between 3100m and 3500m, so this could mean a mixture of snow/sleet/rain for some areas of the escarpment. Conditions for snow seem most favourable for
Mafadi
at the moment where over 20cm is currently forecast.

Once again it seems that only a fraction of the forecast snow materialised. Although there were reports of snowfall on the Black Mountains near Sani Pass, todays satellite image shows only a tiny amount of remaining snow in a few patches of the far Southern KZN Drakensberg (snow shown in red):

It appears that there was some fairly widespread snowfalls on the escarpment last night. Snow Report SA have shared a number of images showing snow on the peaks at Garden Castle, Giant's Castle, Amphitheatre, and Afriski.

Unfortunately there were no good satellite images yesterday due to lingering cloud cover, but todays image is nice and clear, and shows the remaining high-lying snowfall in red:

The south slopes of Tsepeng and Walkers had plenty of nice powder snow - so myself and Hobbit built this yesterday:
