Guess where?

My guess would be Weaver Cave. Also based purely on the maps - I need to go and check this area out some time soon...

If it is near Lakes Cave, then unless the map has the Policeman in the wrong place, that can't be the Policeman.

Ps. Plouw was clearly making a joke and Elinda has a good sense of humour - I fail to see any statements in poor taste.

Nope. Not Weaver Cave.
Clues:
The path goes in a roughly south-easterly direction along the ridge and then drops down to a flat area before climbing gently to the cave in question, which does not have the word 'cave' in it's name. The path marked on the current maps looks completely wrong to me, too far off the ridge. You have to have been there.

Replied by brio on topic How about a Berg photo "quiz"?
OK. I think the one you are refering to is under a massive rock where the path turns at the top of the ridge.
On the map, near the junction C55. I don't know the name.

Not sure if Lakes Cave is the other one, as it is closer the the path in the valley.

Looks like no one is particularly interested or knowledgeable on this one. The answers I was looking for are Lakes Cave and Sipongweni Rock (that massive rock that brio mentioned). I will hand over to Ghaznavid who seems to have the most stamina for this sort of thing, provided that his pictures are meaningful and not of obscure rock faces that could be anywhere.

I have a feeling it might be Sipongweni - thought I'd taken enough guesses.

Ok - I'll load one:

For a clue I'm going to modify a poem from Shakespeare (admittedly a tad lame):
Two passes, both alike in difficulty,
In the fair Berg, where we lay our gaze,
From historical use leads to new exploration,
Where hiking use makes hiking boots unclean.
From forth the awesome views of the khulu in frame
A team of hikers take a hike;
Whose fun adventured extended writeups cause
And with this camera, receives many a fb like

Ok - no guesses so far, so here's 2 more clues:

The 2 passes are named North X Pass and South X Pass - X passes being the answer I am looking for. Neither pass is included on the map, much like the khulu in frame which is merely a spot height on the map.

And the giveaway - the left (south) pass was named in the past, but the map makers moved the name to a nearby pass.

Bonus hint (although not very helpful) - the top of a 3rd pass is actually in this photo, but it is not a top most of you would be familiar with.

Indeed that is north and south Hlubi Pass, Thumb Spur Peak and the top of Thumb Pass is in frame below the khulu.

So from 10th century Iran to 10th century Scandinavia...
