Hi there,
I was planning to drive to the Highmoor area this friday and spend friday night in a nearby cave. Is this a good idea given the current conditions??
I cant get hold of the highmoor or glengarry offices, the lines must be down.
Please advise

We dont have a clear satellite image yet, but we can still see the snow distribution by the dark red in this image:

Pretty much anywhere other than Mnweni and Cathedral Peak. Probably stay away from the places without tar roads. Garden Castle, Giants Castle, Kamberg and Highmoor are your best bets. Highmoor is the closest, but considering how many people I know who are going there tomorrow (including myself - may switch to Giants Castle though), it might be a bit crowded...

Hi Lee
Today I took my son towards underberg, literally 123km from Durban North we found thick snow, take the R617 turnoff top of town hill head about 20 odd Km's and you'll be bound to find plenty snow.
Hope this helps

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

This is the sat image from this morning. A dramatic snowfall indeed!
I also managed to capture images from the Maliba Lodge webcam on the 7th (with snowing in progress) and from today. On the 8th the camera was not working.
