Looks like there's quite a bit of snow on the Mafadi ridge (and many others):

I'm wondering if I'll get to see my first glimpse of South African snow this weekend. And will it pack nicely into a snow ball? Will let you know!

Where are you heading? Looks like there is lots of snow left, but its old, so its probably icy. Possibility of fresh snow on Sunday morning though...

Makes sense now why the temperature dropped a bit. So that is No. 12 for the season. I see very two small patches of snow along the Eastern Cape Berg in yesterday's sat images, but the KZN Berg has been too cloudy for a clear view. We might see something today.

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

Without issuing a spoiler alert for the upcoming thread "You be the Judge" which will reveal whether or not there is a new speed record on Mafadi, Giant's Castle had a bit of snow on it on Saturday morning, but all gone by Sunday morning...

Next question: did the three summit Mafadi and did they do it in record time? Stay tuned to find out...

It could be that contributions were made mostly on or before weekends, but having followed and contributed to this thread throughout the year it was quite noticeable (and quite funny) how many incoming snow reports were just before weekends.

Sounds like some divine intervention for us Berg lovers this year. We were blessed!
