Looks like some pretty extreme weather forecast for the top of SA in the next few days. No snow forecast though.

Here is the expected snowfall for Friday morning. Any snow at this stage is likely to be light, but it looks like it will be turning extremely cold with some very low freezing levels! This means there is also a chance of snow falling into the midlands.

It seems some light snow has settled at Drakensberg Gardens.
From their Facebook Page:
There has also been some light flurries in parts of the midlands.

Hi All
Working up in Escourt today and woke up to clear berg. With storm clouds moving in. As the morning progressed it looked more and more ominous. One massive cloud passed over around the Mfadi Area and left snow from just south of Mfadi to about 20Km north of Greys Pass. Nothing north of there as yet and nothing just south of Mfadi. Seems to be a gap from Giants and slightly south. I am sure as the morning progresses the whole berg will finally have a white blanket this winter. All snow on the high berg.
Regards
Selous

Another pic from Drakensberg Gardens Facebook page:
Something looks very wrong in this picture!
The front is moving very rapidly, looks like its already clearing in the South...
