Well yesterday's snow seemed to be mainly limited to some very light and isolated flurries scattered throughout high lying areas of South Western KZN.
Reports of these came in from areas such as Curry's Post, Mooi River, Nottingham Road, Boston, Impendle, Bushman's Nek, Kokstad, and Drakensberg Gardens.
There was also a report of settling snow on Sani Pass, so it remains to be seen whether the mountains received any snow.

Snowreport.co.za has received some images this morning showing snow on the mountains by Champagne Sports resort and Cathedral Peak. There seems to also me a small amount of ground level snow at Swartberg.

Today's Terra satellite overpass gives us a view of last night's snowfall (shown in red)
Note: There may be snow further South than Thomathu Pass, but this region is obscured by cloud in this image.

Most of the snow of late is 'wet' and 'sleety', this means it melts very quickly and much of it does not settle. For instance, the sleet/snow at Afriski this morning was later on replaced by drizzle. THe snowfall altitude is probably closer to about 3400m - so Mafadi summit area (although small), had a reasonable dump during the night of 7-8 August. THe falls have also been isolated rather than scattered. The best chance for snow is during the late afternoon-night-first half of the morning - and far less so from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.
