I'm pretty keen to do a hike next weekend (4th - 6th). I've been wanting to go up Cockade and down Mlambonja for a while, but Grays would also be cool.

Riaan and I are looking at doing an overnighter in the next 3 weeks. Up from Cathedral Peak via Orange Peel Gap to Easter Cave then across and down Cockade Pass... :woohoo:

Hope you're going to do the lower traverse past the 2 Twins Annex Caves and Utshani Cave to Christmas Pass, and ascend the upper part of the pass to the summit, an interesting variation on going up the conventional Mlambonja Pass way to the summit.

Tony, you don't perhaps have a track for your suggestion above? Also, could you possibly advise the exact location of Easter cave and how to get there? I have the coordinates but visual references always works well for me.

Hi Riaan, give me a couple days and I'll email you the track. I'll also see if I've got a suitable photo to post as an illustration with a description of how to find Easter Cave, and will post directions as soon as I can.

JulieMK, our hike is going ahead as planned, except for anything unforeseen obviously.
Andrew r and I are confirmed, and another 2 possibles.
Itinerary still as per my original post.
