The upcoming hikes thread
Was supposed to be doing just that this weekend on a winter camping workshop by the Alpine Club of Canada which we've just joined. The snowfall was so heavy, and the wind so rough, that the weekend got postponed! Avalanche training and crevasse rescue course coming up in JanViking wrote: @Intrepid - Are you practicing your snow-cave building?
Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

Just bumping this back up.
At this stage only Mark and I confirmed, so plenty of space.
I realise it's probably a bad time of the season, but consider joining us for a fun hike in a quiet area that is seldom visited, and give something back to our beautiful Berg at the same time.
Cheers

I am planning a hike in Monks Cowl area 5th to 8th February 2016, Friday to Monday multi.
Route outline:
Day 1:
Monks Cowl to KBC and overnight
Day 2:
Up Grays Pass, either cave at nKosasana Cave, but would preferably like to tent somewhere near Vultures Retreat. Explore the top for most of the day.
Day 3:
Down Grays and go ascend Gatberg and down to Zulu cave for the night.
Day 4:
Return to Monks Cowl.
Anyone interested please drop me a line, so far there are 2 definites, myself and a mate of mine.
This will be my first Multi day in the Berg so obviously I am heavy excited.
Cheers
