Our weather-man JonWells was up at Goats Cave with smurfatefrog. He posted a great picture on the Berg FB page:

I'm sure he will have more to say when they back.

The snow came down to about 2000m in places, but was not very wide-spread, affecting mainly the escarpment and Afriski area. It cleared up today and based on sat images was melting rapidly by the afternoon.

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

Yup, the snow started falling on us around 13:00 on Friday near the top of Thomathu Pass, it continued to snow lightly sometime into the night.
By midday Saturday only south facing slops had much of a covering
