Was that the 9 day forecast that snow-report SA posted? I also saw that last week, but I really dont think they should be posting such long range forecasts as they are normally horribly inaccurate! Today the forecast is for no snow at all this weekend...

Take nothing but litter, leave nothing but a cleaner Drakensberg.

No pictures of the the Sep 12 snowfall in circulation? Sat images didn't show anything on the 13th either due to cloud cover, and everything had melted by the 14th.

Yea, I think it must have been a fairly minor event, haven't been able to find any further info on it...

I assume there will be plenty of similar posts soon, but I'll kick off the latest snowfall pics with these:
The view we got from Giant's Cave this morning:
The view of Giant's Pass for the brief few seconds when we actually had a view this morning:
And - maybe I'm just imagining things - but doesn't the snow pattern on this rock look a lot like the SA flag:

Nice pics Jonathan, looks pretty chilly.
I'm not much of a photographer, but here are a few from a couple of clicks down the Senqu valley on Sunday morning (we went up Rockeries):

Nice pics team, I'm so jealous I never got to hike and see the snow, it seems this year we haven't had a huge amount of dumplings, I may be wrong bu I do remember last year and the year before driving up to Impendile which is only approx 130km from Durban to take my son to play in the snow

I think we've got more snow outside of winter than during winter this year

I agree - remember that huge one we had in April where the snow was still visible weeks later.
Is it just me or has this year had a rather large number of small snow falls - wouldn't this be no 15 for the year? What's the record?
