It is almost with total disbelief that we are writing this. After 2 recent snow falls that have come extremely early, it looks like there is another cold front on the way that may very well drop some more snow on us, way before the 'official snow season' has even started! It is very early to predict comfortably, but the Western Cape high peaks could get a light dusting during the early morning on Thursday 18th April 2013. From here, the cold front will move across the country fairly rapidly, and it is looking unlikely that it will not drop more snow until it reaches Lesotho on Friday afternoon. The indications at this early point are that snow will fall on the peaks of Lesotho and the Drakensburg from early afternoon on Friday, and possibly continue for about 24 hours, with potentially some good falls in places. It is still very early to predict accurately, so we will update later this week.
