Snowflakes are visible on Afriski's new webcam:
Interestingly enough, Snow-forecast had forecast snow to only arrive this evening (at Afriski)

I dont think I will count this as Snowfall 7 (just yet) as this looks like a very minor event. I was thinking of the following criteria to perhaps qualify as a "Snow Event" for the summary at the beginning of this thread:
Either:
1) New snow must be visible on the next clear satellite image
or
2) There must be confirmed sightings of new snow, enough to at least make the ground white (no grassy patches visible)
Feel free to offer any thought or ideas about this

I agree with point 1, but point 2 is a bit of a hectic requirement! Maybe a requirement of at least 80% coverage - bearing in mind that there will be precipitation shadows irrespective of how big a snow fall is. I remember the river valley between Sandleni Ridge and South Hodgeson's Ridge having basically no snow when we had that major snowfall in April last year.
But otherwise, yes, I agree completely. It snows so often in the Berg, but usually with the snow being gone within an hour. To count each time that someone reports what is basically sleet would give us meaningless statistics.
Maybe add an also-if "Cathedral Peak webcam shows snow that was not present the previous day", it melts in that area so quickly and is usually a good indicator of substantial fresh snow.
